A large 36" Vintage Single-bit Axe with a nice solid wooden handle. Markings on the axe "CP". The "CP" markings on a vintage axe head likely indicate it was a timber stamp used by the Canadian Pacific (C.P.) Railway to mark their timber, rather than a manufacturer's mark. The C.P. Rail had extensive timber lots, and their axes were modified or stamped to mark wood accordingly.
