One room (queen) available in a gem of a three-bedroom character home in the heart of Mount Pleasant! Available now until March 31st with the possibility to extend month-to-month. $1,675/month including all utilities, parking, fibre internet.
The location is about as central as it gets, at Ontario and 16th right on Mount Pleasant Park, with views of the North Shore mountains from the living room. The house is newly renovated with west coast vibes, has a private entrance and large front and back yards. Quiet, residential area yet walking a distance to everything you could need - grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, the farmer's market, yoga studios, shopping, and the sea wall (5 min bike ride!). Super accessible with great transit, close to both Olympic Village and Cambie Village. Ten minute walk to the Broadway/City Hall skytrain statio n and a two-minute walk to Main Street with buses heading downtown. Right on the north-south Ontario bike lane heading straight to the seawall and Olympic Village. If you've been in this neighbourhood, you know it's a real gem!
The rooms are furnished with queen beds (2) and double bed (1), comfy Casper mattresses, lots of closet/storage space, and big south-facing windows overlooking the patio, backyard, and garden. You're welcome to use the kitchen and all appliances, dishes, cutlery, washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. The house is a bright and cheery place with lots of character and sunlight throughout the day on the top floor for a two-storey character home. There is a huge garden and a working wood fireplace, which is our favourite spot to cozy up with a book during rainy days. There is lots of storage, space for bikes, free parking, and dog beds for those who are bringing their furry family members.
This would be a great place to land if you're moving to Vancouver and need a place to stay while you search for longer term options or if you're visiting friends and/or family - happy to share some in-depth knowledge of the city and surrounding areas too! The other guest room is also available if you're two friends travelling together. Unfortunately the house is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs, but otherwise this home can accommodate most needs and abilities and is welcome to all. If you're interested, please send an email with a bit about yourself and more about why you're in Vancouver this winter. No drugs, smoking, or parties.
