Short walk to sky trains heading downtown or toward Richmond and YVR. Walking distance to all shopping needs, including drug stores, grocery, and banks, restaurants, plus much more!
This neighborhood is a quite young family and seniors area, and central to every direction you may want to travel.
2 quick stops on the Canada line sky train at City hall station (Cambie/Broadway) to downtown (Westend/Yaletown)!
About the house:
This 7 bedroom house turned 100 years old this year and has a lot of history! For many decades it was shared accommodation house for students. It was unmanaged , not well maintained, and it was very much a party frat house! Those days are long gone but I want to be clear that this house is NOT a beautifully maintained or restored heritage house! The house will eventually be redeveloped. I have lived here for the last 14 years. It took me several years to clean smoke smells from the walls ceilings and wood floors and create a more cozy Zen environment. It is a very expensive house to maintain and on occasion I rent only one bedroom on the main upper floor on a short term basis and offer below market rent for the Fairview area.
What I have available:
One sunny private bedroom on the main upper floor of the house, with Queen size bed, bedding, towels, mini fridge, desk and lamps with a walk in style closet.
Huge Sunny kitchen fully stocked with all you may need for cooking or baking and you will have your own full sized fridge!
I also have a large collection of storage containers for your food or left overs that you are welcome to use.
Shared bathroom has a lovely filtered rain shower with a handheld wand, and bath pillow. There is an empty rack in the shower for you to store your bathing products.
Yoga, meditation workout room /treadmill on main floor. ( This is a Livingroom transformed into a work out zone)
Large capacity washer (brand new) and dryer in basement ( not coin op and can accommodate king size bedding)
What I also include:
-Distilled water for the espresso and ice machines.
-Toilet paper, paper towel, tissues, tin foil, plastic wrap, wax paper, and parchment paper.
-Garbage bags of various sizes for kitchen, bathroom and your bedroom.
-Air fresheners in the bathroom
-Household cleaning products- huge variety from natural to professional grade, as well as all dish cleaning supplies
-I offer liquid laundry detergent and options of wool dryer balls or dryer sheets.
- As a former professional cleaner I clean the house daily with my professional steam cleaner so the kitchen and bathroom are always sanitized.
Single occupancy only, and no overnight guests. ( I don't have overnight guests either and tend to socialize out of the house because I work from home.) Sorry no pets as per owner rules. Not a party house, no drugs, vaping, or smoking inside the house please.
I cannot accommodate, remote or hybrid workers or students on weekdays. I work from home and have a daily cleaning routine that I prefer to do while my housemate or houseguest is at work or school.
I am looking for a mature responsible person that has a busy and active lifestyle. Someone that is dedicated to cleaning up after themselves (I appreciate a "clean as you cook" type person, as I am too!), participate in removing garbage/recycling every two weeks, and will pay the rent on time.
