Adam Foote (born 1971), one among the big names of Canadian hockey, was a part of the Canadian triumph in the Winter Olympics 2002. After going 50 years without a gold medal Canada won in Salt Lake City double gold in ice hockey. Both the women's and men's teams won gold, beating the United States in both games.
