La Scala Integrated Media Corporation is a leading provider of luxury smart home technology solutions in the Greater Vancouver area. We design and install integrated systems including security alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, lighting control, motorized shades, audio/video, networking, and home automation.
We are seeking an experienced and reliable technician or subcontractor to join our team.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience installing and programming complete residential and light commercial security alarm systems and who is interested in working alongside our team on advanced smart home projects.
The successful candidate will assist with:
Security alarm system installation and programming
Surveillance camera installation and configuration
Access control systems
Structured wiring and networking
Smart lighting and shading systems
Audio/video installations
General smart home integration projects
Responsibilities
Install and commission complete security alarm systems, including:
Control panels
Door/window contacts
Motion detectors
Glass break sensors
Sirens
Keypads
Monitoring communication modules
Program and test alarm systems
Troubleshoot and service existing systems
Work collaboratively with other technicians on larger smart home installations
Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism
Communicate effectively with project managers and clients
Qualifications
Proven experience installing and programming residential alarm systems
Experience with brands such as DSC, Honeywell Home, 2GIG, Qolsys, or similar
Ability to read plans and wiring diagrams
Strong troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Clean criminal record
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Experience with smart home systems is an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage or subcontract rates
Compensation based on experience and qualifications
