Hi!
I'm looking for a long-term flatmate (no couples) in a 2-bed, 2-bath downtown apartment for February 1, 2026.
$1,800 + utilities (Hydro) and internet (Novus <$30)/month.
Underground parking and storage locker available ($100 each).
Location: Next to the VIFF Centre around the corner from Davie Street on Seymour Street and facing Emery Barnes park, this is a very convenient location in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
400 metres from Yaletown Station on the Canada Line.
800 metres from Granville Station on the Expo Line.
Neighbourhood: Steps from cafes (Breka, Starbucks), restaurants on Davie, Mainland and Hamilton, ans grocery stores. Close to the Vancouver Public Library.
Less than 10 minutes from the seawall and walking distance from Stanley Park and Sunset Beach and English Bay.
Looking for a responsible, mature, respectful flatmate who is clean and tidy and does not work from home. (I work from home 2 full days a week, several hours on the other days, and teach from home at least two evenings a week).
You get your private bedroom with a built-in Murphy bed so you won't need much furniture. You also get a full bathroom. There is a den (see flex area in the floorplan in the pictures) in which you could put a desk and a chair if you'd like some extra space to use a computer. The 2 bedrooms are on opposite sides of the unit for privacy.
Insuite laundry.
This is not a party house. No smoking or vaping allowed anywhere in the apartment or building.
The TV in the photos will be removed.
The building has great amenities: gym, party room, office room, outdoor swimming pool (open mid-May to mid-Oct) and hot tub, steam room, guest suites which can be rented for visitors and a 24-hour concierge.
I'm sharing as many detailed photos as I can as I don't get possession of the place before January 24 so will only be able to show it to you after that.
I'm 41, male and work in the government and also as a French teacher. I like the outdoors, mostly for hiking and reading.
If you've read this far and are interested, please share some information about yourself including what you do for a living, experience in shared housing and include why you would like to live here.
You must be open to a credit check and reference checks.
Messages simply asking "is this available?" will get no response.
