Yew Street Housing Co-op is currently subletting a room in a shared 3 bedroom suite costing between $700 and $900. The suite is shared with a white woman in her late 70s and one other housemate. They tend to prefer cis-women UBC grad students as subletters.

The house has an unaddressed long standing bedbug problem as well as a on-going rat infestation. The co-op also engages in unethical subletting practices by renting rooms for profit without offering the chance for membership in the co-op. Co-op members pay rent that is much much lower than what is charged to the subletters. In addition, Yew Street Housing Co-op has a long history of financial mismanagement and an lack of transparency with members and subletters.

DO NOT make the same mistake I did by moving into this terrible environment - please take it from me and AVOID!!!
