Spool of Thread is hiring Part Time Retail Team Member.
Who you are:
- at least 2+ years prior retail team experience
- able to provide extraordinary customer service
- passionate about developing sewing supply product knowledge
- proficient in math, including an ability to work with fractions
- high level of attention to detail
- experience with Google Docs including Spreadsheets
- minimum schedule for this position is at least one consistent Saturday or Sunday shift every weekend, including over long weekends, plus at least 1 - 2 additional shifts throughout the week. Spool of Thread is open Monday - Thursday 11:00am - 9:30pm, and Friday - Sunday 11:00am - 6:00pm.
While we are a sewing store, our team is full of various levels of sewing expertise. Through our development and training process, our team members learn store policies, sewing and product knowledge that help them excel at Spool of Thread.
In addition to assisting our awesome customers with fabric, sewing machine or class purchases, other duties may include:
- assisting with merchandising new arrivals
- processing inventory and unpacking shipments

Spool of Thread is a sewing lounge located in Mount Pleasant. We carry a curated collection of modern fabrics, notions and independent sewing patterns. We have been open for 15 years.
