Hi, my name is Alex. I’m a UBC graduate currently completing my Master’s in Physiotherapy and offering one-on-one tutoring for Grades 3–10 in Math, Science, and English.
I have 3+ years of tutoring experience, working one-on-one with students both in person and over Zoom. I help with homework, assignments, test preparation, and concept review. I focus on identifying learning gaps, adapting to each student’s learning style, and building confidence, especially for students who find math challenging.
My tutoring style is patient, engaging, and supportive, using clear explanations and thought-provoking questions to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable. References available upon request.
Available for in-person or online sessions. Short-term or ongoing help welcome.
I understand that many students struggle with confidence—especially in math and science. I’ve been there myself, which helps me relate to students and explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense to them.
My sessions are: Engaging and interactive, Focused on building confidence, not just getting answers, Tailored to your child’s learning style, Supportive, patient, and encouraging. Designed to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable. I enjoy using fun, thought-provoking questions to keep students interested and help them truly understand the material, rather than memorizing it.
I will be in the area for the next 6 weeks, with the possibility of continuing into the new school term. I’m happy to help your child catch up, stay on track, or prepare for the upcoming school year. If you’re looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in your child’s learning, I’d love to connect.
