$450 / 900ft2 - Multiple Spaces in Beautiful Home Office (Cedar Cottage, Vancouver)




We are exploring the option of renting space in our home for a small business or individual entrepreneur(s) seeking a beautiful and functional office environment, and are happy with that being within a home. Initial pricing of $450/month per workstation is based on comparable ads and is negotiable. Rent can be month-to-month or longer term commitment if desired. Photos of possible workstations to be added.

- How many people are you wanting to accommodate (1 is fine and max is 3 initially)

- What needs do you have for your ideal office space?

- Available Monday to Friday ~9am to 5pm (closed on stat holidays)
- We have multiple desks spaces that could be converted into your customized office space
- We're open to investing in new office furniture and equipment, such as sit-stand stations, "secretary desks", etc., with the right fit
- There is likely space to accommodate up to 6 workstations, but likely we will trial with max of 2 to 3 initially
- Our dining room table can be used as a meeting space
- We have wifi and printer, and open to getting a land-line that could be shared by all office users

- This beautiful heritage home has high ceilings, lots of wood, and ample daylight, operable windows, views of nature, and triple glazing for noise isolation (all of which are factors in creating an indoor environment conducive not only to productivity, but even health, well-being and healing)
- You will have access to our full kitchen to enable eating in for lunch, 2 bathrooms, living room with 2 couches for breaks/naps, rear north facing deck to grab some fresh air and take in some nature, south facing porch for sunny breaks, etc.
- Space will be shared with one of the home owners (working from home some days) plus any other renters
- Efficient furnace and passive cooling enable comfortable indoor temperatures year round
- There is some space to store bikes safely
- We're a family (husband, wife, and 4 year old son) who actively use the home outside of normal business hours, so some kids toys are likely to be visible (although ideally tidied out of the way)
- We do live in the house, so transition from family home to office space between about 8am and 9am and vice versa between 5pm and 5:45pm must not be a show-stopper for you

- There is ample free street parking outside
- There are lots of buses within 1 block (#25, #22, #19) with 10 minutes bus ride to either skytrain line
- Grocery store within 1 block
- Coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance
- Several parks nearby

- You love the idea of working in such an environment
- You're a good communicator and have a positive attitude
- You are committed to sustainability
- You can pay the agreed rent reliably
- You're interesting in seeing what positive potential can be realized (possible work-related synergies/collaboration between office mates, sharing lunch preparation duties, etc.)
