Office Coordinator (Vancouver (SW Downtown))

compensation: 20$ an hour
employment type: full-time

A mining company located in Downtown Vancouver is seeking an individual who is efficient in general office skills and accounting tasks. The right individual will have excellent communication and strong problem solving skills.
Office:

• Answer incoming calls and forwarding appropriately
• Welcoming guests
• Assisting in the preparation of presentations including edits, handouts and PowerPoint slides
• Liaising with subsidiaries’ offices
• Making travel arrangements (flights, hotels etc)
• Organizing meetings, booking meeting rooms, organizing conference calls, video conferences
• Arranging catering for meetings
• Retrieving and sorting incoming and outgoing mail and couriers
• Watering the office plants
• Picking up groceries, keeping the kitchen tidy and stocked throughout the day
• Maintaining kitchen, supply room and all common areas of the office
• Maintaining stationary area, ordering office supplies
• Credit card/expense report reconciliations
• Any other office administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications and Experience:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Concur, Sharepoint experience an advantage but not necessary
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with the ability to show initiative
• Flexibility for varied work hours during busy periods
• Start time of 8.30am, full-time Monday to Friday
