I'm a drummer who wants to play something in the vein of post-punk, dream pop, shoegaze, post-rock. But with anexperimental bent. Noise, diy electronic stuff, diy instruments, visual elements, poetry reading, diary reading, soundscapes, Portsmouth Sinfonia-style instrument swap, themes/lore, costumes??? Sky's the limit.
I sit in with my brother’s cover band sometimes, I guess I want to get away from that structure. But it should still be music people want to listen to if you get what I’m saying.
I can practice once a week. Interested in writing, practicing, and releasing an album (or other media) more than playing shows right now. Maybe that will change when warm weather and long days roll back around. We can do virtual idea development/composition if that’s your preference.
Band culture:
Co-creation.
Playful yet serious
Lgbtq+ friendly, disability conscious, sobriety welcome
Kindness, creativity, skin in the game>>> Chops
Age not exactly important but lets say 25-55+ for a ballpark
Come as you are. Bring your whole self.
