I am an experienced piano player, with a Classical RCM background in piano and music theory, also some self-taught jazz knowledge. I have been playing piano since age 9 and synths since age 18, actually pretty decent keyboard/piano/synth guy all my life; have own many iconic synth from Korg M1, Yamaha DX7 to Roland D50 to Korg Trinity, Wavestation, lots of Yamaha and Roland pro boards and synths. these were used in countless pop hit records; also played Classical all my life but branched into synth pop/classic rock/modern rock/pop, blues, acoustic pop/standard jazz. I realize that 99.99% of the music industry = non-Classical and Classical doesn't really sell.
so my Classical chops is very good and with proper technique and formal training, and I admit: I still play Chopin/Bach and I love to tickle the ivories a few times on a real grand piano if I get a chance; opportunities come and go. very easy for me learn or play any pop/folk/rock/jazz/blues piece easily = any non-Classical are very trivial for me re-create from scratch using my DAW and powerful hardware/software synths. solid music theory background from RCM so I like to explore my options, creating magical surreal music that is piano-centric, and of course loving synth pop, and Berlin school tracks, surreal ZEN ambient tracks that are cinematic quality, with etheral vocals, and combinations of hardware synthesizers, acousic guitar/EGTR, acoustic piano, drum kits, and loving the symphonic string/ensemble brass, horns, ethnic world instruments etc. the sky's the limit in my music studio. but a piano needs a voice ! been playing piano all day is fun and dandy but it really needs a voice!
so always looking for local talent singers who want to record acoustic pop original songs on acoustic guitar or piano or EP. As a Classically-trained piano player (ie. a Producer who happens to play piano) I am very comfortable in front of my analog/digital mixers, my DAW=Sonar8, my synth. We record and jam with my friends in their homes with a nice upright or Yamaha C3 grand piano and we record in public library digital recording studio, free booking of 3 hour max: yes those public libraries have digital recording studios now: free resources to create podcast, vocal tracks, tracking guitars etc. can fit up to 4 people. totla cost is zero $$$ all free just having fun recording/jamming and doing live tracking of our jams.
if you play piano or sing or play guitar or prefer piano-style, piano-centric beautiful classic pop ballads, EP sounds of Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Madonna, or Jewel, modern pop ADELE, Sia, Billie Eilish, Jorja Smith, One Republic, Bruno Mars, Labrinth etc maybe we can work on a few cover tracks for fun.... and jam together in a casual atmosphere. I think we all got gifts to share, no matter your experience and please ==> let's leave the ego's at the door. let's not judge others by their level of experience. music to me is a CRAFT = the value is time we spent creating it as perfectly as we can and must never sold for $$$ or fame. so nothing too serious, it is all for *pursuit of happiness*. I record/produce/arrange all custom piano/synth/symphonic/EDM tracks in my own studio and I do everything BUT sing. I spent my time composing my own piano tracks in front of my piano and keyboards and love to create new ideas and meeting recording local talented singers at open mic, jamming sessions. good way to make full use of of nice collection of synth, piano + pro audio software, and all the nice tools to create a polished track, for the pursuit of happiness.
