Trio of vintage "solid stamp" (1968 to 1972) pre-serial Paiste Formula 602 14" hi-hats, including a matched pair and a Sound Edge bottom.
The top is 953g (Medium Light) and is in great shape for the age, 2 super tiny dings at the edge and a small abrasion. Clean hole.
The bottom from the pair is 1019g (Medium) and is in even better shape with only the tiniest of edge imperfections. Maybe 2 visible (if you look hard) micro-dings. Clean hole.
This pair together is the essence of Formula 602 hats (IMHO). They are crisp but musical. Precise, groovy, cutting but smokey.
The third cymbal is an orphan that joined the family after the fact. It's a bit of an oddity, but a sweet one. The finish (and sound) is definitely more brilliant than the pair. It has the same solid stamp as the other 2. It has edge ondulations like a Sound Edge bottom hat, you can feel them, but they are very mild compared to the other Sound Edge bottoms I've seen. It behaves like a Sound Edge bottom: it makes the "chick" sound noticeably louder and shimmery, and it sounds excellent. A prototype? An early Sound Edge? It weighs 965g and it plays very nicely with either of the other 2 cymbals. Perfect for when you need more volume, a louder chick sound, and a brighter, less smokey tone. This one has just under a dozen tiny edge nicks and abrasions, some of them a bit sharp (but small), no cracks. Clean hole.

A trifecta of vintage Paiste goodness that will cover you from jazz to funk, to pop, and beyond.
Truly excellent cymbals.
