Roland's first real return to hardware drum machines, it has authentic ACB reproductions of the circuity of the TR-808 and TR-909, which became staples of dance music that are still heard today.
This machine is more of an instrument than a programmer. While it does have the 16 step sequencer you've come to expect from a drum machine, all the knob-per-function controls give it a real playability. Tweaking while recording (including the scatter function) will give you some really great rhythm and percussion loops for your productions. Includes a custom Decksaver polycarbonate cover to protect against dust and damage.
