Rare Boss DSD-3 Digital Sampler / Delay 1986 with weird SN# - $280 (East Van)

Excellent delay.
These were only produced for 2 years (1986 - 1988).
This one has a weird serial number consisting of 1 letter followed by 6 numbers: A982144
There should be 2 letters.
The numbers also don't match the date code pattern.
The font used for the serial number is the old font (less thick), indicating an early model.
So the best guess is that it's an early version, with a transitional or internal SN#.
Probably first year since it was only made for 2 years.
It's in excellent condition, with only minor blemishes. See photos.

Made in Japan.
