These things are amazing, and if you just want that straight up classic SSL G Bus Console Compressor sound, this is it!
If you guys don't know about Mr. Alan Smart, he is awesome, and he had a hand in designing the actual original SSL Console G Bus Compressors, and after a lot of people started to ask for standalone units of the SSL Bus Comoressor, Alan ventured off on his own, and designed this. He even came out with this before SSL came out with one, and Alan is also an amazing tech/engineer. Theres a reason also that these have been the same since he came out with them years, and years ago, because it sounds right, and it works great. I could go on gushing about it, but if you want an SSL bus comp, these are better than anything from SSL in the past 25 years. The older SSL rack Bus Comps are obv killer too, but at the end of the day, both do the thing, and do it extremely well, they are just very slightly different box tones.
I got this brand new 2 years ago, and I havent been super busy, but Ive used it on a handful of records/mixes, and even on some other sources, which it can be awesome for(drums/guitar/vox etc)... Im in a transition, and just lost my studio last year, so Im just letting a few things go, because I need money, because Im moving, and trying to setup camp somewhere else. I also have trouble letting go of anything, and its the first time in my life Ive ever sold anything.
My plan is to get another C1 down the road when Im in a new space, and working again. In the meantime, maybe this can find a proper home.
Again, its essentially brand new. I babied it, and she's mint!
