Our company is growing again, and we are looking to add to our soup production team. This can at times be a physical job, requiring a fit individual capable of physical labour. Who we are looking for:
We are BC’s leading soup brand manufacturer, located in Vancouver. To keep up with demand, we are adding to our production cook team. The following defines our ideal candidate for this position:
✅ Food production knowledge or experience ideally in a food manufacturing facility
✅ Basic mechanical skills and enjoys problem-solving
✅ Extremely good natured, reliable and punctual Team Player
✅ Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assemble/disassemble large equipment
✅ Comfortable with early mornings and confident working independently when needed.
✅ Understands the urgency and importance of production flow and attention to detail and consistency.
✅ Understands the critical importance of a clean and organized working environment
✅ Strong command of english, both written and spoken
A Typical Day Might Include:
🔹 Review the production board with your manager, and plan your tasks
🔹 multi task cleaning between production room and washdown room
🔹 Read and follow recipes carefully
🔹 Gather prepared ingredients from coolers, cross checked in detail with the recipe, document changes
🔹 Perform an equipment check before starting
🔹 Operate kettles and add pre-measured ingredients
🔹 Load ingredients into kettles (lifting up to 30lbs to approx. shoulder height or above)
🔹 Setting up additional equipment, including:
• Shear Pumps
• Product movement pumps (impellers)
• Holding Tanks
• Connect Transfer hoses with tri clamps
• Piston filler & packaging equipment
