PLEASE NOTE: We are conducting interviews for this position on the last weekend of February, beginning February 27th.
This role is part time, 2-4 days per week.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Rubble Rock & Gem, where we sell all kinds of beautiful rocks, crystals, jade, and gemstones in our large retail shop — and we’re now putting serious energy into expanding online.
The goal of this position is simple:
We want consistent, nonstop product photography that feeds our website and social media every day.
You’ll be photographing a wide range of inventory across multiple platforms, including:
Jade pieces for our subsidiary brand, The Jade Guys
Commercial-grade rock and crystals for rubblerockandgem.com
Products specifically for social-media-first pages, designed to attract followers and generate direct sales through the feed
There will be a clear process to follow, and training will be provided. Once you’re comfortable, this is a role where you’ll be expected to work independently and manage yourself.
You’ll be left to your own devices about 90% of the time — in a good way. Most days, you’ll come in, focus, photograph products, and get the work done without constant oversight. You’ll always have access to the storefront team if you want to be social, but this job is ideal for someone who enjoys working quietly and productively. You will also be able to work several days a week from home editing photos.
This is not a high-end studio photography position. You do not need $10,000 worth of equipment.
