Our client is an established branding, software and business intelligence company that has done extensive research in the cannabis industry to formulate value added products that will appeal to both experienced and novice users, as consumers will prefer premium, refined, alternative methods of consumption. They have collaborated with award-winning chefs and food scientists from all over the United States to develop high quality products and have gathered essential market data and insights regarding taste preferences in the Canadian market. Currently looking to expand their marketing division by hiring a Director of Marketing.
Title: Director of Marketing
We are looking for an exceptional leader with deep expertise in product marketing, marketing programs, and brand strategy. You will build and lead our product marketing division and brand teams, teach the company about our customers, our positioning, our brand, and competitive landscape. We are looking for someone with a proven history of driving successful brand and go-to-market strategies that create a strong customer understanding, accelerate growth and retention while leading high-performance teams.
The Director of Marketing, is responsible for both high-level strategic planning for public relations and outreach and direct operational implementation of communication and marketing activities. The operational work requires effective use of a wide range of platforms and media to engage with a diverse range of audiences. The Director will be responsible for updating the website and using social media, email, printed materials, and other creative means to effectively share information and build engagement with prospective clients in both the Canadian and International markets.
Qualifications / Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline; (MBA or Master's degree preferred)
8-10 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in marketing, communications, engagement, public relations, proven excellence in leadership & execution, brand positioning and creative strategy
Experience producing written and digital marketing materials and communications for a wide range of audiences.
You should have at least 4+ years experience in a strategic marketing role, preferably working in a B2B, technology or startup company environment
Proven analytic skills and experience using data to drive decisions
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be flexible to changing priorities
