Hello! My name is Francisco. Are you interested in taking violin lessons? If you are looking for serious violin training, I have the knowledge to help you improve as much as you want.

I have been playing the violin for over 20 years. I am currently pursuing a Doctor in Musical Arts with a focus in performance (violin), and I have taken lessons with many renown violin pedagogues around the world. Through my studies, I have received comprehensive musical education in the realms of performance, pedagogy, and research. My violin training has immersed me in a variety of teaching philosophies that have equipped me with a vast body of knowledge. I am prepared to guide students of all levels and ages through the inherent technical and artistic challenges present in the process of learning the violin. I know that teaching a musical instrument requires an insightful and flexible approach, and my diverse education has prepared me to do that. I would love to share the knowledge I have accumulated over the years with you.

As a performer, I have played concerts in countries such as Mexico, Canada, United States, Panama, Ecuador, Brazil, France, Monaco, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. I have performed with professional orchestras in Mexico and the United States. I also have played with professional chamber music groups based in London, Ontario such as Magisterra Soloists, and Rebelhearth Collective.

As a violin professor, I have been invited to teach at the International Music Festival at the city of Loja, Ecuador for two years (2017, 2018). The principal violin teachers I have had during my violin education are Annette-Barbara Vogel (Germany), Ronald François (Canada), Agnieszka Macklakiewicz (Poland), and Carlos Marrufo (Mexico). Other recognized violinists and pedagogues with which I have taken violin lessons and master classes are Miriam Fried, Shmuel Ashkenazy, Nicholas Kitchen, Scott St. John, Rachel Barton Pine, Kees Hulsmann, and Kati Sebestyén.

Being aware that the chemistry between teacher and student is essential for an optimal learning environment, the first lesson I give you will be completely free of charge, so you have the opportunity to asses how I teach and see if I am the right match for you. I can teach you for periods of 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on your preferences. Lessons can be in English or Spanish.

If you are interested, please contact me through Craigslist system or at 519 520 5048 (calls or texts are welcome). Only serious inquires, please.
