We are seeking a reliable, bush-savvy, and versatile Handyman/Field Support person to support a remote mineral exploration camp located in the Northwest Territories.
The position is scheduled for two rotations:
1) June 15 to July 15, 2026
2) July 27 to August 26, 2026
The successful candidate will support daily camp operations in a remote field setting, assisting with general maintenance, site logistics, and practical day-to-day tasks that help keep the camp running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Perform general camp upkeep, including minor repairs and maintenance.
2) Assist with setup, organization, and upkeep of camp facilities.
3) Support field logistics and practical camp operations as needed.
4) Work in close coordination with geologists, geophysicists, and field staff.
5) Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient camp environment.
6) Use practical bush skills to work effectively in a remote outdoor setting.
Requirements:
1) Prior experience in remote field camps, exploration, or northern work environments is preferred.
2) Strong handyman skills, including basic repairs, maintenance, and equipment support.
3) Bush savvy and comfortable working independently in rugged outdoor conditions.
4) Ability to navigate and operate in remote terrain using practical field skills, compass and handheld gps.
5) Reliable, self-sufficient, and adaptable in small-team settings.
6) Valid driver’s license is an asset.
7) First aid certification is an asset.
