Our technical division handles the skilled project work, hedge trimming, pruning, planting, garden installations, soil and mulch work, and seasonal cleanups. No two days are the same. You'll work alongside experienced crew members on a variety of residential properties and learn hands-on skills.
No experience required. Technical crew starts at $3–$4/hr, more than maintenance at every level, because the work can be more physically demanding. Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, no weekends. 10.5-month season (February–December).
What You'll Do:
• Assist with hedge trimming, shrub pruning, and tree maintenance
• Help with soil, mulch, and gravel installations
• Perform seasonal garden cleanups (spring and fall)
• Assist with planting — shrubs, perennials, annuals, and trees
• Operate hand tools and learn power equipment (hedge trimmers, chainsaws, chippers)
• Load and move heavy materials (soil bags, mulch, gravel, pavers)
• Learn plant identification, pruning techniques, and seasonal timing
Career Path: Crew Member ($26–$27/hr) → Senior Crew ($28–$31/hr) → Team Lead ($31–$35/hr with full health benefits) → Field Manager ($35–$40/hr). Technical division pays $3–$4/hr more than maintenance at every level.
COMPENSATION: $26 – $27/hr
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
• Physically capable, able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, work on ladders, and handle heavy materials
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Detail-oriented, technical work requires care and precision
• Eager to learn skilled trades, this isn't just lawn care
• Reliable transportation to our shop/meeting point
• No experience required, but a genuine interest in horticulture or skilled trades is a plus
WHAT WE OFFER:
