Bearmark Design and Landscape Ltd. is a unique landscape company that combines innovative and practical design with high quality construction services. Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Bearmark has been involved in a wide range of landscape projects throughout the Lower Mainland, however, projects tend to be focused in Vancouver, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver.
Our company specializes in providing the complete landscape package. We facilitate our clients' vision and budget by working together through the design development process to ensure construction is efficient, well-built, and on schedule. We work with architects, landscape architects, and general contractors in building a variety of different landscape projects.
Bearmark is looking for new crew members of all skill levels for general landscape construction. You will be exposed to all aspects of landscape construction. You will join a fun and exciting team environment that will expose you to many interesting projects and aspects of the landscape industry.
We are looking to fill following positions within our team:
1 - GENERAL LANDSCAPE CREW MEMBERS
Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate the following traits or characteristics:
- experience in general construction
- familiar with hand tools and equipment
- willingness to learn and be part of a team and be involved in many different aspects of landscape construction
** Candidates with previous experience in landscape construction will be an asset and will be evaluated for possible more senior or skilled roles with associated compensation.
This position offers:
- starting wage at minimum of $26.50 per hour and up based on experience
- initial compensation will be based on experience/ skill level and projected role within our team to start
- general medical benefits offered after 6 months employment
- opportunity to grow within the company and gain new skills, responsibilities, and associated wage increases
2 - SKILLED/ EXPERIENCED LANDSCAPE CREW MEMBERS
Skilled and/or experienced candidates in landscape construction that demonstrate the following traits or characteristics:
- experience in hardscape installation (pavers/ walls/ carpentry)
- experience with all landscape hand tools and equipment
- experience in general landscape grading and base preparation
- machine (skid steer/ excavator) experience is preferred but not required
- experience in leading sites/ crews is preferred but not required
- drivers license
- willingness to be part of the leadership team and help further develop and grow the team
** Candidates for this position will be evaluated based on their overall experience/ skill and how we feel they will fit within this role to start and into the future. Compensation will be determined based on this evaluation.
This position offers:
- starting wage at minimum of $28.50 per hour and up based on experience (as per above)
- initial compensation will be based on experience/ skill level and projected role within our team to start
- general medical benefits offered after 6 months employment
- opportunity to grow within the company and gain more responsibilities and leadership roles
- additional company benefits based on role/ experience
