Froude Management Inc. (FMI) is looking for a Superintendent, an Assistant Superintendent, a Project Manager, and a Project Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and excellent organizational skills.
Superintendents' Responsibilities:
• Provide safety leadership through the implementation of our safety program and monitor the safety performance of the site team and subcontractors.
• Maintain client relationships and work with clients to meet their required specifications and standards through effective verbal and written communication and proper documentation
• The Superintendent is responsible for providing direction and leading and mentoring FMI staff in the field.
• Supervise and develop site team members through regular feedback; lead project foreman meetings; inspire and motivate site team and subcontractors to perform at their best.
• Monitor and maintain a high quality of workmanship and accountability of subcontractors.
• Review the budget and estimate with the Project Manager to understand the project; plan to avoid costly issues and project delays; manage and track budget and cost; review the budget and the underlying estimate to understand the project.
• Review documents and drawings accuracy; review and enforce subcontractor’s contracts and identify discrepancies in scopes of work; advise the project team of potential problems, work interference, and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts.
• The ability to create a project schedule using standard scheduling programs is preferred.
• Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where it’s required.
• Identify the training needs of field staff, assist with training where qualified, and support apprenticeship programs as required.
Assistant Superintendent's Responsibilties:
• Working with the superintendent to ensure the implementation of FMI’s safety program and monitor the safety performance of the site team and subcontractor record-keeping requirements.
• Lead project foreman meetings: inspire and motivate the site team and subcontractors to perform at their best.
• Monitor and maintain a high quality of workmanship and accountability of subcontractors.
• Assist superintendent to manage and tracking budget and cost; review the budget and the underlying estimate to understand the project.
• Review documents and drawings accuracy; review and enforce subtrade contracts and identify discrepancies in scopes of work, including understanding risk and risk mitigation plans.
• Monitoring a project schedule using standard scheduling programs is preferred.
• Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where it’s required.
• Consistently collaborating with the superintendent, project manager, and project team.
• Advise the site superintendent or project manager of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan.
• Monitoring and executing the project construction plan and schedule.
• Maintaining project administration correspondence, and complying with documentation requirements.
• Other duties as required.
Project Manager's Responsibilities:
• Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
• Handle project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration.
• Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and implement quality control programs.
• Manage monthly billing and assist accounting in processing payments.
• Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
• Tender and award subcontractors.
• Supervise the activities of subcontractors.
• Identify the training needs of field staff, assist with training where qualified, and support apprenticeship programs as required.
Project Coordinator's Responsibilities:
• Assists project manager and superintendent with overall administrative functions and duties on large or several smaller projects/scopes, usually with a specific trade or area focus. This includes managing subcontracts and interfacing with the engineering design team and field staff to plan, execute, and problem-solve.
• Handle project administration, including RFIs, Submittals, Schedule updates, Change Order administration, and others.
• Assist project manager and superintendent in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
• Assist the pursuit team with the preparation of bid documents and proposals.
• Assist project manager with changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Assist the project manager with the development and implementation of quality control programs.
• Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to the superintendent and project manager.
• Assist project manager with tender and awarding subcontractors.
• Assist the superintendent with supervising the activities of subcontractors.
