Are you someone who enjoys an active job in a dynamic, team-oriented environment? Join the takedown crew at Ruffled Rose! We specialize in event décor rental and floral services and need team members to assist with takedowns of our events at nighttime.
As part of the event takedown crew, we are seeking individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, physical work environment and are keen to collaborate with a team.
Our warehouse is located at the border of Surrey and Langley. The takedown crew meets at our warehouse between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. The crew will carpool to the venue. The takedown at the venue usually takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the size of the event. The commute to and from our warehouse is compensated. All team members receive a minimum of 4 hours' pay at a competitive rate.
These are late evening night shifts, primarily on weekends.
Main Duties:
• Loading and unloading of the truck and moving heavy items.
• Takedown chairs and heavy furniture items.
• Uninstall and strike pipe and drape backdrops.
• Carefully pack fragile decor and glass items.
Employment Requirements:
• Must have availability on weekends during our peak season. Nighttime availability is a must.
• Capable of fast-paced, physical, manual labor and heavy lifting.
• Clean class 5 driver's license required.
• Self-starter with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communicator, dynamic and team player.
• Punctual and reliable.
Additional Assets:
• Experience in the event or moving industry.
• Experience with warehouse and general labor work.
• Experience driving 1-3 ton cube truck.
• A willingness to learn different tasks and take on various roles within the company. As we are a small business, an enthusiasm to learn new skills and be dynamic is an asset and will result in increased hours available if desired.
