Job Description:
The position is responsible for two primary tasks: transportation of material using a 3/4 ton cube van and providing labour on job sites including the following duties.
1. Provides direct support to the various job sites, which includes:
-Delivery of construction waste and debris to the dump
-Pick up and delivery of required materials and supplies to each jobsite as scheduled by the Project Manager
-The delivery and placement of hoarding, tool boxes and safety equipment at each jobsite for job mobilization.
-Demolition duties or other on-site labour duties as assigned by the project Manager, such as assisting with digging, demolition, and site clean-up.
2. Shop Duties:
-Creating equipped tool boxes for RJR labourer's
-Maintaining an inventory and restocking of commonly used materials
-Maintaining a record of the allocation of materials to project jobsites
-Assisting with tracking common maintenance for the company truck to ensure it is running in good order and notifying management if the truck requires any major repairs
-Keeping the truck tidy and clean, both inside and outside.
This is a position of trust and responsibility because the employee will work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 with post-secondary training in construction an asset
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
Experience loading and unloading heavy construction materials.
Clean driver's abstract and valid BC driver's license
Must be honest, trustworthy, reliable, accountable, and respectful.
Demonstrate the ability to organize and carry out tasks in a timely manner.
Highly organized, collaborative, passionate, detail oriented and a great team player.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
