Large vintage solid copper pot with nickel lining made in France in the 1980’s. This pot is 24 cm diameter and 11 cm deep. Maker is unknown, it’s marked Made in France. Most likely made in/around the town of Villedieu. The process of lining copper pots with nickel instead of tin for better durability was trademarked by the firm of Lucien Letillier in Villedieu in 1980 and he went out of business a few years later. The pot has only been used for display.
The pot is 24 cm in diameter and 11 cm deep, with a lid of the same construction. It has brass handles. Weight is 2.55 kg.
From display and storage for 45 +/- years this pot has acquired a tarnish to the copper, which I have not cleaned - it is just as it came out of storage.
