Up for sale is a world-class piece of industrial design: the Tecno Nomos table, designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect Sir Norman Foster.
Featured in the permanent collections of MoMA and the Design Museum, the Nomos is an icon of the "high-tech" movement. Its chrome-plated "lunar lander" base is as much a piece of sculpture as it is a functional frame. This table is incredibly stable, composed entirely of natural materials (glass and steel), and perfectly fits a minimalist, toxin-free, or architectural aesthetic.
Versatile Uses:
Dining Room: A generous family-sized table that comfortably seats 8 (can squeeze 10).
Boardroom / Conference: A statement piece for a creative agency, law firm, or tech startup.
Executive Desk: An expansive, clean workspace for architects or designers.
Specifications:
Designer: Sir Norman Foster for Tecno (Italy)
Dimensions: 86 1/2" L x 39 1/4" W (Standard height)
Materials: Polished chrome-plated steel frame and heavy tempered glass top
Authenticity: Features the original "Tecno" stamp on the frame. We can also provide a copy of the original receipt.
Condition & Pricing:
The chrome base is in excellent, high-polish condition and has been very well-maintained. The tempered glass top is structurally sound but has two minor "clamshell" chips on one edge (see photos).
Because of the minor edge chips, the price is set significantly below the typical market value of $4,000+. This is an exceptional opportunity to own a designer original at a fraction of the cost. You can use the glass as-is (the chips are purely cosmetic) or eventually replace it with a custom slab of your choice.
Price: $2,750 OBO
Location: Vancouver - City Hall
Logistics: Pickup only. This is a large, heavy piece of glass; please bring a second person and a vehicle capable of fitting the 86.5" length.
