We are looking for energetic butcher/chef with a passion for food, some sweet knife skills and a positive team first attitude. This is a true butcher shop; we utilize whole animal butchery and have our own line of in house charcuterie and we are actively expanding our offerings. Help to redefine what a grocery store 'meat department' should be!
Experienced butchers and chefs will be given greater consideration but we are absolutely willing to train the right candidate if you have a strong enough desire to learn! We are looking for a love of food, and motivation to continually expand and improve. We want to continue to build relationships with local farms and restaurants to deliver a consistent, sustainable and amazing product.
We utilize a whole animal program, the successful candidate will;
. Break whole beef, pigs, chickens, ducks etc.
. Work with local seasonal fish
. Make charcuterie products ( bacon, pancetta, pate, rilletes, fresh sausage etc)
. Perform basic shop tasks, daily cleaning
. Educate customers on local, dry aged meat
. Communicate different cooking techniques and recipes with customers
. Heavy lifting will be involved
Applicant needs to be passionate, hungry to learn and improve, organized, work cleanly and efficiently. Creative freedom to learn and grow. We are looking for a long term commitment to grow this department.
