The BOH Shift Lead assists the BOH manager in running an efficient and profitable BOH operation of Cream Pony. He/she is responsible for ensuring that the store meets the standards in meal presentation, food quality, food preparation, and customer satisfaction. The BOH Shift Lead manages approximately 2 or 3 part-time line cooks. He/she will be expected to have significant product knowledge, through on-the-job training, and demonstrate positive and friendly customer service.
Essential tasks include:
Ensure the store has sufficient product, merchandise, and supplies needed to manage the line on a daily basis according to the
closing list and prep list
• Prepare, cook, and execute Cream Pony menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Delegate duties, as necessary, to part-time line cooks during the
operation
• Understand basic POS functions (refunds, placing and cancelling
tabs, looking up invoices)
• Inventory count and notes for ordering
• Motivates staff to maintain quality and consistent product and
service
• Communicate and report to BOH manager after each shift when there are questions or concerns
• Maintain a standard given by Vancouver Coastal Health
(Health inspection report, including temperature logs)

This is a full time position
Schedule: Wed-Sun 11am-7pm
Wage: minimum wage plus $1.50 (currently $19.35) plus tips. Tips are split evenly between front and back
