Conditions:
Position: Head Chef (NOC 62200)
Status: Full-Time, Permanent position)
Wage: $37.00/hour (wage to be determined depending on experience and skills)
Working hours: 30 hours per week
Ability to do shift work according to the work schedule
Willing to relocate
Vacation: 4% gross salary

Completion of secondary school
Minimum 5 years of commercial cooking experience as a Cook

• Rollout Coordination: Bi-yearly new menu rollout planning and execution with Head Office
• Recipe Compliance: Strict maintenance of line, prep, and recipe specifications
• Service Efficiency: Staff training and optimized bill time execution during service
2. Staff Management
• Recruitment & Mentorship: Hiring, training, and supervision of kitchen staff per policy
• Skill Development: Culinary training program implementation for team expertise
• Workflow Optimization: Duty assignment for efficient workflow and cohesive teamwork
• Performance Evaluation: Regular performance reviews and constructive feedback provision
• Workplace Culture: Professional environment and open communication promotion
• Shift Management: Direct shift coverage and scheduling as required
3. Inventory & Cost Control
• Supply Chain Management: Ordering and receiving oversight via approved vendors
• Waste Reduction: Waste, spoilage, and theft minimization control measures
• Financial Monitoring: Food cost, portion control, and menu engineering management
• Cost-Saving Initiatives: Strategic cost-saving measure development with management
• Equipment Readiness: Availability and maintenance of all necessary tools and equipment
4. Kitchen Operations
• Regulatory Compliance: Strict adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness procedures
• Maintenance Management: Kitchen equipment monitoring and repair needs reporting
• Food Safety: Contamination prevention through proper food handling and storage
• Quality Assurance: Regular quality checks for all food items
• System Maintenance: Daily opening and closing checklist design and implementation
5. Scheduling & Staff Development
• Labor Scheduling: Staff schedule creation for optimal business coverage
• Labor Cost Optimization: Labor expense management through strategic scheduling
• Professional Growth: Ongoing coaching and training for staff development
• Continuous Improvement: Staff initiative encouragement for quality and productivity
