We are seeking a reliable and versatile Cook/Handyman to support a remote field exploration camp located at Gordon Lake, Northwest Territories. The position is scheduled for two rotations:
1) June 15 to July 15, 2026
2) July 27 to August 26, 2026
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily meals for a small field crew while also assisting with general camp maintenance and basic handyman tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Plan and prepare nutritious daily meals for field personnel
2) Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area
3) Manage food inventory and supplies
4) Perform general camp upkeep, including minor repairs and maintenance
5) Assist with setup and upkeep of camp facilities as needed
Requirements:
1) Previous experience as a camp cook or in remote settings is preferred
2) Basic handyman skills (carpentry, repairs, equipment maintenance) 3) Ability to work independently in a remote environment
4) Strong organizational and time-management skills
5) Valid driver’s license (asset)
