I have a 98 Saturn SL1 that use to be originaly owned by a very elderly lady that couldn't continue driving anymore. I've owned many of these lovely saturns and this particular one is number 7 on my list. Personally when I got my first one at 17, I was oddly hooked and just learned as much as I could about them. Anyways it came into my possession as running rough and covered in nature on the outside, the inside was still very much lightly used to unused. I gave it alot of TLC on exterior and interior. In addition fixed up the rough running issue and replaced a bunch of burt out bulbs with LEDs.
Oil change was recently done, so you don't have to think about that untill 90,xxx. All other fluids are at the right level. Car runs, drives, stops and turns great like a lightly used 85,xxx kl car would. AC is working and blowing cold. Has factory key fob electric lock/unlock and trunk popper. Power steering. Hand crank windows (some see this as a con but crank windows have less moving parts to fail vs power windows) Fun fact about saturns. All the panels are dent resistant, inovative and ahead of its time, look it up on YouTube if you don't believe me. It's a 1.9L engine That still fuel efficient for a 27 year old car. Oh and did I mention this little car is very much eligible for classic plates/insurance.
Reason I can't keep it. Is because I just don't have the room to have more then one car living in vancouver. So I compromise for saving them and letting them live on with new owners in hopes another person appreciates it the way I do.
Its currently not insured to drive on the road but come see it for yourself, you will be pretty impressed. The worst I'll say is no.
