This was bought in Cartagena in 1969 when you could bring artifacts back. I had a Lucite stand made for it that is shown. Since then I knocked it off the shelf. I tried to glue it with not much success. Then I contacted a restoration person who said to leave it alone. Not to even take photos as that is what has disintegrated some of the rare pieces that weren't protected. He said that the head or body fragment would be valuable. It is made of some type of clay. The noses on these heads are rather wide. None of the facial features have been damaged only worn away from the years. This is a light beige color. It is like a museum piece and that is why I purchased it .
