** 31' Kiwi Aluminum Jet Drive **
** Very rare opportunity to buy an all-weather craft! **
** Powered with 315 Hp Yanmar Turbo Charged Diesel **
This 1998 boat was imported from the New Zealand "Kiwi" brand manufacturer. The model is "Tsunami" built by the very reputable Richard Hill. It is incredibly robust and capable of handling all types of harsh weather. Kiwi-Kraft boats 'outperform all other aluminum pontoon boats', with full positive buoyancy, making them virtually unsinkable - http://www.kiwikraft.com/udopage_2.php.
The 273 series Hamilton Jet drive offers some of the best manueverability, literally being able to turn the boat on a dime, and safely navigate through shallow waters.
The boat has been serviced on an annual basis by Vancouver Outboard, with minor and routine maintenance. The batteries and starter soleniod were replaced in 2019. In April 2020, it has just been lifted, powerwashed, and new zinc's applied. It has a new custom exhaust pipe.
The deck is made of high quality 3/16 aluminum throughout. The on-board systems are older but still completely functional with a Garmin GPS Map 545, Standard Horizon depth sounder, and a Uniden Solara VHF. The Jabsco remote spot light is completely directable as well.
The boat has a 31' overall length, with a 10' beam, and an approximate 16" draft. The fully enclosed cabin includes seating for the driver plus 4 passengers.
The lower cabin comfortably seats an additional 4 passengers and can be converted into a sleeping quarter, and includes a fully functioning and enclosed head.
You will see from the photos that the boat is indeed in great shape, but the starboard hull has taken it's knocks. The boat has primarily served as a commuter between Horseshoe Bay and a small rugged off-the-grid island. We have had some inquiries about a trailer, but we do not have a trailer and the boat typically requires a lift for removal from water. It is a substantial boat with high-grade aluminum.
The boat runs perfectly, and the engine and systems are in solid operating condition. There are 1529 hours on the engine. With the jet drive and diesel engine this is not a quiet pleasure craft, but moreso a great utility boat suitable for the tougher elements.
