Offered for sale is this versatile, lightweight MEC Shadowlands Disc aluminum hybrid fitness bike with a 24 speed drivetrain.
The bike has a large 20" frame so would be suitable for a rider between 5'8"and 6', give or take.
As you would expect of any MEC bike, these are over engineered and beautifully designed bikes built to last a lifetime if properly maintained. Designed and engineered right here in Vancouver! The bike comes very well equipped with the following specs...
Frame - 7005 aluminum w/tapered top tubing and oversized shaped downtube
Fork - MEC tapered alloy
Drivetrain - Shimano/SRAM groupset - 24 speed (3x8) w/grip twist shifters
Crankset - FSA forged alloy 3 piece w/ choice of pedals
Brakes - powerful Shimano hydraulic disc-brakes
Cockpit - MEC alloy riser handlebar w/Easton 4 bolt alloy stem and threadless semi integrated headset
Wheels - Alex anodized alloy rims and Shimano alloy hubs.
Extras - quick release hubs, full complement of braze-on accessory mounting points for fenders and rack (bikepacking/touring) -
An excellent, very well engineered bike that will be a great long distance tourer or a lightweight daily commuter or fitness bike that won't break the bank. From MEC, which are designed right here in Canada!
The bike has been completely detailed and tuned. Runs beautifully! Some minor cosmetic blemishes and scratches. Nothing horrible, as photos will show. I would rate it a solid 8 out of 10.
The original Canadian selling price was $900, before taxes. I am selling the bike for $355 firm. Delivery is possible if you live nearby.
