Carl Spitzweg (1808 – 1885) was a German romantic painter, illustrator, poet and pharmacist. He is considered to be the best known and most popular artist of the Biedermeier era. I have some small objects with his funny and lovely paintings.
1. A high quality tin spoon (Jahresloeffel) for the year 2001 - 7.5" (19cm), the picture diameter 2.2" (5.5cm);
2. A special Carl-Spitzweg-spoon - 7" (18cm);
3. A tin round wall hanging scene - diameter 5" (13cm);
4. A real gem - a cook-book, discovered and published 1962, with 27 Spitzweg's personal recipes and illustrations. The book is written in German language, hard cover, and is in a like new condition.
Expecting $25 for the book and $15 for each spoon and the wall hanging. As a bonus you get a calendar (for the year 2001) with 12 Carl-Spitzweg-pictures.
