Be aware of overpriced, unlivable living conditions in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver.
At 635 East Hastings St (and other buildings in the area) they advertise for overpriced "micro-suites" but haven't divulged to potential applicants the presence of bed bugs, whether present in the laundry facilities and a dangerous bacteria present in shared washrooms called MRSA/MSSA. These sorts of conditions thrive all over the downtown eastside, right beside the uber rich "yaletown", profiting from fraud.
It is housing problems like these causing a ripple effect, driving rental prices up everywhere else in the lower mainland.
Speculators flipping property, over-inflating property values, not actually reflecting living conditions and average employment income. These speculators and management do not actually live in the spaces they are marketing.
