BGC's EMPLOYMENT NOW program helps youth find and maintain employment in Customer Service / Retail Sales jobs. We also assist with finding work in customer service roles in Food / Beverage / Hospitality roles.
Participants develop the confidence, skills and experience needed to kick-start their careers. Support, training and mentorship is tailored to individual needs.
Participants eligible for up to $600 in bonus incentives for successful completion of the program and employment outcomes!
Please note that participants will need to attend some in-person workshops and one-to-one appointments at our North Delta location (11861 88th Avenue, Delta) if they live within a reasonable 30 to 60 minute commute of our offices.
Program Requirements:
Must be between 16 and 29 years old, be either a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Protected Person or International Student Graduate on an "open" work permit, be unemployed or precariously employed and be job searching or prepared to job search once the program is completed. Also, you must have faced or be currently facing a mental health concern, and/or have other factors that impact your employment such as housing instability or a lack of education, training and work experience.

We also have a special Activity Leader session for those aged 19 to 29 who want to work in one of our eleven (11) Club locations, either our Fraserview Club (South Vancouver), Kivan Club (East Vancouver), Kimount Club (Mt. Pleasant), North Burnaby Club (Burnaby), Norvan Club (North Vancouver), Richmond Club (Richmond), Hillside Club (North Delta), Langley Club (City of Langley), Surrey Club (Whalley), Winskill Club (Tsawwassen), and Wintemute Club (Ladner). Must be interested in working with kids of various ages and prepared to plan a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
