I have experience as a order fulfillment specialist and department manager with regards to shipping across Canada.
My position can be broken down into two main roles: picking and packing of customer orders while maintaining the department in terms of daily upkeep and maintenance.
I have come to see that I enjoy making sure things run smoothly while staying organized. In running a department I understand you have to be good at managing your time, multitasking and be able to stay on top of what needs to be done which in turn helps you to anticipate what is coming.
Experience Summary-
Seven (7) years of warehousing experience - wholesale
Seven (7) years as a key holder- I have experience opening and closing of the facility/warehouses.
Seven (7) years of order fulfillment- This included both picking and packing the order for shipping both local and domestic.
Seven (7) years of receiving experience in terms of the intake and organization of stock and supplies.
Seven (7) years of inventory experience. This included performing weekly counts and reordering of stock and supplies as needed.
Six (6) years of department management experience that included three (3) years of which I managed an entire warehouse dedicated to my department. I oversaw the daily ins and outs of the department including such things as upkeep & staff training.
Six (6) years of customer service experience via phone in regards to order substitution and fill rate questions and concerns.
Strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while being able to adapt through multitasking and switching tasks when needed.
So in light of trying something new, I am looking for a position that is transit accessible and requires no heavy lifting please.
