FME Food Machinery Engineering is looking for a full-time Office Administator for a 6 month contract with potential for a permanent position. We are a mid sized engineering & manufacturing shop, building specialty equipment for medium to large scale food firms. This position is very dynamic with many responsibilities. The applicant should have experience within an industrial setting/shop environment. Must have a willingness to work as part of a team and jump in when needed. You need to be organized, confident and personable as you are often the first point of contact with FME. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Desktop & proven office experience. Any previous shipping experience would be definite asset. Applicant must be fluent in English, have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt to changing demands and priorities. You are also detail oriented and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum 3 years working in an office environment
Working knowledge of Quickbooks is a MUST
Knowledge of logistics is preferred
Ability to Multi-task
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Travel Planning Experience
Duties include but are not limited to:
Reception, directing calls and handling emails
Ordering of shop supplies as needed, creating PO’s using Quickbooks
Establish & maintain relationships with suppliers
Coordinate shipping of local & International orders
Travel planning for staff as needed
Additional administrative support as needed, position will be working to take over all A/P duties
