We are an after parts manufacturer for the asphalt road industry. We are looking for an Inventory Specialist and Purchasing Manager as part of our dynamic technical inside sales team; you will be fostering client relationships throughout North America and with your focus and experience youwill be an important addition to our product division. A mechanical background would be a great asset for this position.

About the job

If you are a highly organized person, we would love to have you join our team. We are currently looking for an energetic and proactive support person to assist with sales and office administration in the inventory and purchasing field. You will have exceptional organizational, communication and prioritization skills supported by a positive attitude.

As the "go-to" person for all front lines related activities. You will be reporting to and working closely with the Controller but will be expected to work independently most of the time. This position offers a lot of variety, with potential for advancement to the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibility

Assist Account Managers with customer inquiries including retrieving and organizing information, vetting/obtaining general product description/specifications.
Understand company supply chain strategy and assign and review the staffs' work in regards to shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and maintaining inventory of materials and processing purchasing transactions
Oversee the company inventory operation, establish and monitor the on-going process
Assist with various Excel sheets used for quotes providing superior customer service with timely follow-ups and communications
Establishing new and maintaining the strong and professional customer client relations


Qualifications

Experience with heavy equipment industry such as spreaders, hydraulics and asphalt industry and/or marketing industry would be an asset
An Accounting background is an asset.
College or university certificate/diploma an asset but not necessary
Sales and customer service experience would be an asset
Strong computer Skills -- MS Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint), MS Outlook, Peachtree Sage and Windows environments
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills

The job is full time, Monday through Friday.
