It’s On Electric Company is a full service electrical contractor, energy management consulting firm, and a program delivery agent for government and utility province-wide programs.
We work on a variety of projects, from commercial and residential electrical work in our local community, energy saving and trials of new technology installation projects for government and utilities, and multiple consulting contracts and assignments. Our clients are diverse from select private commercial and residential customers, to BC Hydro Powersmart, FortisBC, Fortis Electric and the Ministry of Energy and Clean BC.
We are currently looking for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to provide support to various Program Managers. We need your help to assist us deliver fast and professional service for our different contracts. You will connect with a variety of different customers — homeowners, business customers, utilities, and different sectors of government.
This will be a work from home position, with occasional trips to the office. Ideally the candidate will live in the South Surrey/White Rock area for ease and convenience. We will provide you with everything that you need to be able to do your job, however you will require a solid and stable internet connection.
Your specific duties will include:
-Managing a central database for all projects.
-Contacting customers to set up appointments, or requesting information from them.
-Scheduling appointments for our technicians across the province.
-Coordinates the workflow, liaising between It’s On Electric staff and customers.
-Receives, reviews and records information through creation of reports.
-Data entry, transferring information from utility databases to an internal database.
-Updating of databases and ensuring accuracy.
-Various other tasks to support different project teams, as needed
Because this role requires a large amount of data entry, report creation, and database updating, an eye of detail is an absolute must! You must be able to juggle numerous tasks, and be able to work on multiple projects concurrently, all while conducting business in a professional manner. Since you will be dealing directly with our customers and utility customers, you will need to like helping people and have excellent communication skills.
You will take a thorough, hands-on approach to delivering high quality and accurate work. You will need to be focused as you complete routine day to day tasks and be able to adapt to changing calendars, priorities, and timelines. Due to the nature of our projects and clients, you will carry a high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
-Graduation from an Administrative or business program (or relevant experience/skillset)
-Related experience in a business environment.
-Typing speed of 50 wpm
-Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
-Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe, including form creation and editing of documents.
-Proficiency using either Mac or PC

This position will start as a PT position (up to 20 hours per week), and there may be additional growth for the right fit.
