The Squier Affinity Series Bronco SS Bass is a highly regarded short-scale (30") bass guitar.
In 2017 this Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass was constructed by the Cor-Tek factory in Indonesia. They utilized Agathis softwood for the Bronco Bass body and used Maple hardwood for the neck and fretboard.
The Bronco Bass is famous for its compact, highly playable form factor.
This lightweight, vintage-vibe instrument features a single-coil pickup and is beloved by beginners and smaller players.
Built with a compact, contoured body, it was tailored to prevent fatigue during long practice or gig sessions.
Positioned as one of the most budget-friendly instruments in the Squier/Fender family, its goal is to offer high intrinsic value and immediate playability to anyone starting their musical journey without a massive upfront investment.
Because of its scale length and a single-coil pickup setup, it is highly favored by guitarists who need a bass for home recording or occasional live use, as it translates and feels closer to playing a standard 4-string electric guitar.
Key Specifications
Scale Length: At a 30" scale length (compared to a standard 34" bass), the instrument features lower string tension and shorter fret distances. Because of its short scale and 1.5" nut width, it is exceptionally comfortable for guitar players transitioning to bass, or players with smaller hands.
Body: Solid lightweight wood which is Agathis; Warm, punchy, known as the poor man's mahogany
Neck: solid Maple with a modern "'C'" profile
Fretboard: solid Maple with 19 medium-jumbo frets which features a satin polyurethane finish, making the wood feel slick, hard, and fast. Your fingers glide across the surface with direct, immediate response.
Pickups: 1 × Special Design Single-Coil Pickup (passive)
Controls: 1 × Master Volume, 1 × Master Tone
What you see is what you get, the Bronco Bass Guitar, the Levy’s padded gig bag, a 10 foot guitar cord, a folder filled with tab sheets, tab song sheets and a chord, plus 3 guitar pics and a strap. If you don’t dicker with the price, it is all yours to keep. If you only want just the guitar and nothing else, we can negotiate a different price.
So new the sticker for free lessons and the plastic are still intact on the guitar.
I love the chrome heart knobs.
You can see in the pictures the frets are not worn at all.
The strap buttons are placed with a rubber to ensure that they don’t distract from the sound vibration.

The body is so softly round for comfort
The padded gig bag is a perfect fit, snug as a bug in a rug, excellent protection; so when you are carrying it on your back there is no movement.
The 4 screws and plate to get to the rod are chrome
The guitar cord is BRAND NEW
The Guitar strap have PVC hardware and is barely used. The pictures show it in excellent condition.
The folder fits perfectly inside the front pocket of the Levy’s canvas gig bag- made in China
The adjustable Levy’s canvas backpack straps are great for any size shoulders; with reinforced connections
The gig bag is triple seemed; this is to make sure it wont split open on you when you are in your musical travels.
The polyurethane zippers are rugged, and the double handle gives comfort to the hand as it is padded.
