They no longer make this model. This is your Instrument’s Perfect quilted outfit. They don’t even use the color chocolate anymore. The name Ritter comes from a Company in Switzerland. However, they have a manufacturing plant in China. The gig bag even though it is obsolete, is in such good condition it is rated to be “excellent used”. The division that distributed this specific gig-bag was based in England.
25 years ago, Ritter stepped out onto the global gig-bag market with one vision: to provide the best gig bags for instruments. Superior protection, great carrying comfort, and an attractive design. To cater for all needs. They are now the world’s leading company that makes gig-bags; because the gig-bag was just as important as the guitar, it needed to look good. This bag does just that. It is an awesome chocolate brown with a pumpkin orange interior and is thickly padded.
They didn’t want their bags to just hang around in the background as a supporting act. They thought they deserved a share of the limelight too. Musicians take pride and joy in their instruments, and Ritters bags are an expression of that.
I tried to search for results of a manufacturing date for the Ritter Gig-Bag and found that they started making gig bags in 1996. I also found out that since 2014, they no longer make the Chocolate Brown Classical Concert Gig-Bag; the brown they use now, is more like a mousse brown or sandy brown. They have even changed it’s design to a more conservative style; that doesn’t have nearly as many pockets as this one. Nor does it have the reinforced arm straps like this one. I love the solid chrome Zipper tags for easy grasp. If you are wearing headphones while walking with your bag there even is an audio button that allows you to attach the ear buds to the bag for easy security and anchoring.
It’s not just a pretty face…. right? This gig bag has high quality features from the outside as well as inside.
You get a flat pocket built into the shoulder strap for holding your ear buds or tiny radio or phone. The 3 outside pockets piggyback each other. There is a large front padded pocket which is big enough to hold a laptop or tablet that has another front pocket that will hold your CDs and small accessories, with another pocket on it to hold your pics and cords and such.
When it comes to padding, it is very thick. Look at the pictures. It will make sure your most valuable instrument feels safe, as Ritter took great care in the development of their bags. The reflective strips on the bottom outside pocket will make sure you stay recognizable when walking on the road.
When it comes to inside features; I love the anti wear material they strategically placed at the inside of the case on the head; at the base and where the bridge is. There is a double shock proof rubber bottom.
They even thought of how to protect your guitar neck with their guitar neck protector strip. The beautifully finished seams show how much effort Ritter went above and beyond to increase the quality of their gig-bag.
Carrying your instrument all day will have an impact on your back or shoulders. So, like I said earlier, they designed reinforced adjustable padded backpack straps and ergonomic and padded side handles for your comfort. There is even a built-in aircraft hanger for when you jet set from gig to gig.
If you want to buy the guitar that is displayed in some of the pictures, it is a 2005-LaPatrie Concert Classical Acoustic and is for sale as well. Look at my ads. I will give you a little discount deal if you buy them both.
Thank you for your interest.
