The batch mixer is responsible for assembly of ingredients, mixing the batches and accurate documentation of flavor batches and WIP’s. This includes ensuring that batches are mixed in a reasonable time frame to meet the production requirements and CIP is performed as per Work Instructions to ensure extensive and consistent results within the sanitation program. This will be done by having materials in place for batch mixing, maintaining a clean and safe working environment; including wearing all required PPE, and excellent communication to Co-workers, Line Leads, Supervisors, Quality and Maintenance.
What you need to know
*Continuous training and direction by stay current with batch mixing and CIP work
*Ability to learn and/or operate the following equipment: shear mixers, pumps, processing valves, process controls, & HTST processing
*Accurately weigh and blend various components to a specified formula
*Accurate mathematical conversions
*Accurately record components and lot numbers added to each batch
*Ability and willingness to follow plant, quality, safety, environmental and security policies
*Ability to work in cooperation with other departments, and work in other departments as
*Ability to operate manual and/or electric pallet jacks and forklifts
*Ability to follow and record sanitation instructions and information
*Provide daily counts on bulk raw materials and work-in-process materials(WIPs)
*Knowledge of food production, GMP, food safety and sanitation standards required
*Strong verbal and written English
*Superior communication skills
*Strong leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
*Able to work unsupervised, as well as working together with others
*Good organizational, communication and mathematical skills
*Have a strong mechanical aptitude
*Ability and willingness to follow, plant Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Security policies
