Looking for a hardworking person who will be able to help our company complete various hardscaping jobs. We primarily focus on residential paving stone installation, but other jobs include retaining walls, artificial turf, porcelain tiles, and occasionally some commercial job sites.
Duties include:
-Loading and unloading our large flat bed truck
-Digging grass and dirt
-Shoveling and delivering material by wheelbarrow or hand truck
-Removing existing pavers and cleaning them
-On knees screeding sechelt sand
-Carrying pavers from one area to another.
-Sweeping sand and cleaning the job site.
-Mixing concrete in a wheelbarrow or mixer
-Operating a gas powered compactor and chop saw
-Operating a jackhammer to remove old concrete. Lift and load old concrete to a wheelbarrow or to a bobcat.
Having a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is a necessity as our job requires travelling all over the lower mainland (mainly Surrey/Langley area, but sometimes into Richmond and Vancouver). Public transport is not reliable to our locations. Another option would be to meet near our home base, which is in the Cloverdale area.
Full time is a possibility considering it is summer time, but most likely it will be part-time as incoming jobs vary, and some jobs will not require an additional labourer.
