We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide daily support for clients with spinal cord injury, dysphasia, and Alzheimer’s. The ideal candidate should have experience with personal care, mobility assistance, cognitive support, and bowel care procedures while maintaining professionalism, dignity, and client comfort.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding assistance if required
Provide safe transfers and mobility assistance
Deliver personal care according to the care plan and safety guidelines
Assist with bowel care routines, including digital stimulation of bowels as instructed by healthcare professionals
Support clients with dysphasia by encouraging effective communication and safe feeding practices
Provide supervision and companionship for clients with Alzheimer’s and memory-related conditions
Monitor clients’ condition and report any physical, emotional, or behavioral changes
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
Follow infection control, privacy, and safety procedures
Requirements
Caregiver, HCA, PSW, or related healthcare experience preferred
Experience working with spinal cord injury, dysphasia, and Alzheimer’s clients is an asset
Knowledge of ADL support, bowel care procedures, and cognitive support techniques
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Physically able to assist with transfers and mobility support
Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude
