This beauty is from the Kosta Boda Marina series from the 70s. A part of the wonderful textured ice glass that was coming out at that time. This platter features the art of the midcentury designer Goran Warff from Sweden. Two trout (I think) swimming in opposite directions. Living on the West Coast as we do, this is perfect for placing a big Salmon on, or for piles of small appetizers as this is the super large version of this design and it is in excellent condition. There are no cutlery cuts on the surface, there are no chips, nor any base rubbing. These were hand moulded so there are some variations in them from piece to piece. This one has a small glass fold about 1" long. This is not a scratch but a natural part of the creation in this hand made glass piece, not sharp as a cut is but smooth. I have other Kosta pieces and it is pretty normal but I thought I should mention it for those unfamiliar with Kosta glass. The platter is 10.75" across, 19.75" long and 1/4" thick and it's heavy. In beautiful condition for these plates.
